Publighter
Privacy notice
This notice explains what Publighter keeps, what stays on your machine, and how you stay in control of your manuscript.

What we keep
We keep the name and email you register with, workspace membership, and the documents you save. We use that to sign you in, sync your work, and send account email such as verification and password reset.
Your manuscript
Drafts live in your workspace. We do not sell your writing or use it to train a public model. Collaborators see only what you invite them to see.
Local AI stays on your computer
When you connect a model on your machine — Ollama, LM Studio, or a compatible server — the manuscript text is sent from your browser to that model. It does not go through Publighter.
Cloud AI is opt-in
Cloud AI runs only when you choose it. We show the provider, model, and cost before each request. A local request never silently falls back to the cloud.
Provider keys and staying signed in
Remember me keeps you signed in on this computer. API keys for local or bring-your-own providers are stored in this browser only after a separate opt-in, and you can revoke them anytime.
Cookies and session
We use a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising trackers on the writing studio.
Your choices
You can update your profile, revoke remembered devices and provider keys, export your work, and delete your account. Account recovery never asks for your password, recovery code, or provider credential.
